Shoe Designer Alon Simantov

Alon Simantov is a shoe designer from Israel, based in Milan, lives and works in Italy from the early ’90s. He Starts his professional experience designing fashion and textile for men, women, and kids at Enrico Coveri in Florence. Later he was invited at Roberto Cavalli to create the concept for the first man collection. Here he starts to approach technique & experience working with leather and fur, embroidery, prints, and hand-crafts.

At the beginning of 2000, he moved to Milan to work with Romeo Gigli as a fashion designer, trend searches, materials, and decoration technique researcher. He becomes responsible for all the accessories collections (shoes, bags, belts) for men and women. After five years, he accepted another challenge at Levi’s Europe as a creative director for shoes & accessories for men women and kids. So he faced with successful mass-market & big distribution with high fashion & luxury products. Recently he opened a consulting & design studio in Milan.

Alon Simantov shoes are fully handcrafted in Italy using materials that are also strictly Italian: suede, leather, fabrics in cotton and mesh technologies for the running sneakers.

This collection is divided into five models: a classic style running shoe inspired by the 70s, a slip-on with essential geometrical cuts, a low laced plimsoll, an ankle lace-up and a sailing model revisited.
