Handbag Designer Daniel Espig

Daniel Espig is a young  Handbag designer; since he was young, he felt attractive about the Glamour and Fashion, he grows up with his Grand Mother, because his parents were busy working. Everything he has in his mind about beauty reminds him of her. Daniel Espig move to Mexico when he was 13 years old and he started Studying fashion in Mexico City at the age of 14, in Degli Abbitti Institute. It was an opportunity for him to enter the first Fashion Week as a student and start thinking ” This is what I really want” he meet designers, editors who gave him a lot of advice. Two years later they return to Venezuela, and he began to study Advertising and Fashion at the same time and on November 18/ 2010 he launched his first collection called “Pioneer Girl” in Venezuela First Fashion Week, since then he has been working in his brand and future projects.

When did you know you wanted to be a fashion designer?

Since I have a reason, when I was 4 I made dresses for Barbie dolls and made my own fashion show! Hah

What’s it like being in the Fashion industry?

Amazing, more than being in the Fashion industry is have the opportunity to do what I like, to be who I am and the people can have what I create, is incredible.

What was your first job in the fashion industry?

My first job was when I made clothes for puppies and sells at the pet stores when I was 17 years old.

Talk about the changes in your life since you’ve your own brand.

I used to work with my Father when I was young, and he always supports me to have my own business, and I love to work by myself and work for my convictions because I don’t feel this like a ” Work”. This is who I’m and I love it.

Describe what do you do in your work?

Jaja Everything! Maybe because right now I’m changing a lot of things, but basically I Design the collections, I’m in charge of the Photoshoot, Campaign Etc.

What do you like about your work?

I can be me 24 hours and 367 days a year.

Tell us about your last collection

My Last Collection Calls ” The Spell” and it was very delicate and Soft.

What was the inspiration for your last collection?

Halloween was coming, and I love Halloween Party’s Jaja, but I start thinking in the witches when they’re making the potions, and the colors of these potions, how they look, and I imagine how it’s supposed to look a potion created by me?  And Magic happens!
