New Makeup Artist in Vienna
Born in Bolivia and raised in a small town in Styria Austria, Inge is a new makeup artist in the fashion scene in Vienna. I had the opportunity to meet Inge in Runway fashion event last September, where she was part of the amazing team in charge of the makeup of the models. After spending the whole day working in backstage, was impossible not to fall in love with Inge’s work. That’s why we wanted to make her an interview to show case her work, and how she started in the fashion world.When did you know, you wanted to be a makeup artist?
That was about 6 years ago. I moved to New York and got the chance to assist a fashion photographer. That was the moment I decided to be a Makeup Artist.
Who are some people that have inspired you throughout your career?
Makeup Artists like Pat McGrath, Val Garland and Netta Szekely to name some amazing Artists in the Makeup Industry.
How long have you been a makeup artist and how did you get your start in the industry?
I’m a Makeup Artist since five years. My Journey started by working as a retail artist for Mac Cosmetics, I was able to fine-tune my skills and worked with women all ages and ethnicities.
How would you describe your signature look and what is it about your style that sets you apart from other makeup artists?
I love to use cream products on eyes, cheeks. Just having fun with placing and blending the product into the skin, or playing around with graphic eyeliners. Creating a soft look, connecting with the person and singling out her/ his inner beauty, that’s my signature look.
What’s your favourite makeup forever product?
My favourite Makeup forever is my Dual finish pressed Mineral Powder by MUD.
What does beauty mean to you?
Beauty means feeling great about yourself and beeing happy and confident with who you are.
Which are the colours for this season?
Definitely, Bordeaux Colours and metallic lips are this season colours and trends.
What is a no go for this season?
Heavy contouring and highlighting
Which are the must make-ups every woman should have in the makeup bag?
Pressed Powder for touch ups, lip conditioner and the MUD Lipstick Burlesque. Must have!
Where do you get your inspiration?
I look at fashion shows, vintage photos, famous makeup artists portfolios, Fashion Photographers portfolios. I love working with fashion designers, sharing the same passion for beauty and fashion is such an inspiration.
