Sisley Paris Phyto Eye Twist

At the beginning of June, I had the opportunity to cooperate with Sisley Paris to assist at the famous Fashion Show of the Fashion department of the University of Applied Arts, which was celebrated in the Kunsthalle Vienna. The Show had a lot of highlights and it was the first show with new head Hussein Chalayan.

Thanks to Sisley Paris who was also the Makeup partner for this special event, I was allowed a look backstage and had the possibility to see the students working on the last details before they presented their collections.

I also had the chance to take a deeper look into the Makeup courtesy of Sisley Paris, where the Phyto Eye Twist was the protagonist of the look of the models. The Phyto-Eye twist is the first jumbo eye pencil from Sisley.

Python-Eye Twist has a texture that blends with the skin, the waterproof formula of the Phyto-Eye Twist is the result of the latest make-up innovations for remarkable performances: creamy to the touch, glides on perfectly, incomparable adhesion and softness.

Phyto-Eye Twist is playful and perfect for those on the move as it does not require sharpening and can be taken anywhere. It is applied in an ultra-practical stroke, guaranteeing an intense result and a quick application without smudging.

For me to be able to sit backstage and see how these versatile pencil works were amazing, and I have to say that I had the opportunity to learn a lot by the hands of the Makeup artists who helped the fashion class to accomplish the last touches on the models.

The fashion class at the University of Applied Arts Vienna in Austria is the only school with a Major university diploma in Fashion Design and is now one of the major European schools of contemporary fashion.

Since the early 1980s, the professors at the Fashion Class have been internationally popular fashion designers like Karl Lagerfeld, Jil Sander, Vivienne Westwood, Helmut Lang, Raf Simons, Viktor & Rolf, Bernhard Willhelm or – as at present – Hussein Chalayan.

Over the years Chalayan has partnered with many artists, musicians and actors among others, he also designed costumes for the London Dance Theatre Saddlers Wells and he has also collaborated with Swarovski. This visionary designer is able to merge technology, politics and architectural forms in runway shows that soften the line between art and fashion.

He was named British Designer of the Year in 1999 and 2000. In 2013 he received his last award “Fashion Visionary Award for his 20 years of Design Excellence during Audi Fashion Festival in Singapore. For me was a wonderful show and I’m looking forward to next year”.
