Fashion Stylist Gemma Sheppard

Gemma Sheppard is one of the best-known as Fashion stylist; since she was a child she remembers being obsessed with fashion, and this obsession leads to where she is now. Her passion for fashion is so big, that she doesn’t feel she is working; she is just following her heart.

Gemma is one of the leading stylists on the circuit with a portfolio that includes celebrities, private clients, national media and global brands. Gemma has also joined the X Factor team as Lead Fashion Stylist, having styled individual judges and past winners. But 2014 was the first time that producers managed to secure Gemma to style the contestants during the live shows.

“It’s a huge commitment and particularly the first three weeks of the live shows – they are so intense. I do everything that you see on camera: the dancers and backing vocalists, not just the contestants. There’s a huge amount that you are responsible for.

“The fashion receives as much intrigue as the music, especially with the immediate reactions on social media. Ultimately the pressure is on me to make sure that they look like pop stars and I want the contestants to feel empowered. This might be their only chance to feel that way,” says the creative stylist.

Gemma’s clients include: Anastacia, Blue, Dannii Minogue, Emma Forbes, Holly Valance, Jason Gardiner, Sharon Osborne, Tara Palmer Tomkinson, Tess Daly, Ashley Roberts & Tulisa…

Her styling work for celebrities can cover their red carpet appearances, videos, live performance, editorial shoots, ad campaigns and personal appearances.

“I believe as a stylist everybody has the right to look good no matter what shape or size you are. You have the right to feel the best you can.”
