American Model Natacia Bhatia

For today´s interview we had the opportunity to talk to Natacia Bhatia, she is an American model from Charlottesville, Virgina. She has traveled the world and even made Fashion weeks in New Delhi. She has a travel / lifestyle blog, where she show us her latest adventures and amazing recipes.

Where were you born and what was your pre-model life like?

I’m from the small university town of Charlottesville, Virginia. I can’t really remember life before modelling because I started at such a young age. It’s always crazy to see how far I’ve come.

How have you been discovered?

I don’t think “discovered” is the right word, rather I climbed my way up to get recognition from agencies and companies. I worked extremely hard to get signed by top agencies. One of the hardest things I ever did was moved to another country by myself in order to work. It was worth it!

When did you decide to become a model?

Growing up, I never considered myself pretty. I had features and a look that were different from other girls so I knew that would be my ticket into the modelling world.

What has been one of your favourite career experiences so far?

My favorite career experience was working in India. I did fashion week shows in New Delhi and was even on a billboard for a major hotel line! It was harder than anything I’ve ever done, but it’s a part of my life I would love to do over and over again.

Did you have an interest in modelling or fashion before starting as a model?

I’ve never had an interest in fashion haha… I’m such a tomboy that if I make an effort in what I wear it’s a pretty big deal. Modeling has always interested me more. I love looking at the emotion. A model creates in an image; the art she/he creates- it’s amazing to me.

What advice would you pass along to those starting out in the business?

Never take the easy way out. Working hard will always prevail in the long run. Confidence is the key to modeling as well. Once you have that you can conquer anything.

You have become successful for many reasons what do you think the top few are?

I believe my success comes from my independence. I never relied on anyone but myself and it’s helped my achieve more than I could have ever imagined.

What is the ultimate goal of your career?

To model forever! Haha! An ultimate goal is to be recognized by the world and never be forgotten.
