Churros are originally from Spain and originally develop centuries ago by Spanish shepherds. Up in the mountains, fresh baked goods were impossible to come by, so the nomadic folk of the hills came up with this delicious idea.

It’s was only a matter of time before churros traveled to South America, eventually making their way to the world.

After our post about Churros Calientes, today we bring you this delicious recipe, easy to do and perfect for the whole family.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 5 large eggs

Directions

  • In a saucepan over medium-high heat, combine butter, sugar, salt and 1 cup water. Bring to a boil and quickly stir in the flour with a spoon. Continue to stir until you see a film forms on the bottom of the pan, like 3 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and let it cool for a bit, about 3 minutes. Add 4 eggs, one at a time, be sure that you incorporate each egg after each addition.
  • Then let stand until our dough is warm. Pipe strips of dough into hot oil using a pastry bag.
  • When oil is good hot, we ‘ll be bringing you the churros the size you want, and once we see that the mass is fried well , pluck out the churros and put on blotting paper to be well drain the oil. Combine 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon. Roll drained churros in cinnamon and sugar mixture.
