Can you get a compensation when a flight is delayed?

According to EU Regulation 261/2004 a passenger is entitled to claim for a compensation of between €250 and €600 per person in case of:

  • Flight delayed more than 3 hours
  • Flight cancellation
  • Denied boarding due to overbooking
  • Missed connection due to a delay of the first segment (you arrived at your destination more than 3 hours later than planned)

The only requirement is that your disrupted flight needed to have happened up to 6 years back (depending on the country of departure)

How to claim your flight delay compensation?
