1. INTRODUCTION AND SCOPE

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of https://lemontrend.com and related Lemontrend pages, subdomains and services, including travel.lemontrend.com and flights.lemontrend.com (together, the “Website”).

By accessing or using the Website, you agree to use it in accordance with these Terms and applicable law. If you do not agree with these Terms, please discontinue use of the Website.

These Terms should be read together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

Where a third-party service, website, booking platform, merchant or provider is accessed through Lemontrend, the third party’s own terms and policies may also apply.

 

2. ABOUT LEMONTREND

Lemontrend is an Austrian digital media company and online magazine focused on fashion, travel and lifestyle. We publish editorial articles, photography, videos, recommendations, travel-related content, affiliate links, advertising and travel-search functionality.

Lemontrend may also feature sponsored or commercial content, affiliate recommendations and links to third-party products and services.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, Lemontrend is not the seller, airline, travel agency, hotel, booking platform, payment processor or manufacturer of third-party products or services linked or displayed on the Website.

 

3. INFORMATIONAL AND EDITORIAL CONTENT

Content published on Lemontrend is provided for general informational, editorial and inspirational purposes.

We make reasonable efforts to keep information accurate and useful, but information can become outdated or change without notice. This is particularly relevant to travel information, prices, availability, schedules, opening times, product information, promotions and third-party services.

You should independently verify important information with the relevant official provider before making a purchase, booking, travel decision or other material decision.

Nothing on Lemontrend is intended to constitute legal, medical, financial, tax or other regulated professional advice.

 

4. AFFILIATE LINKS, COMMISSIONS AND COMMERCIAL CONTENT

Lemontrend participates in affiliate and advertising programmes. Some links, widgets, banners and product recommendations may be affiliate links.

If you click an affiliate link and later complete a qualifying purchase or booking, Lemontrend may receive a commission from the relevant third party. Unless otherwise stated by the merchant, this does not increase the price you pay.

Affiliate relationships may include services such as ShopMy, Rakuten Advertising / LinkSynergy, Travelpayouts and other merchants, networks or travel providers displayed from time to time.

Affiliate compensation does not create a contract between Lemontrend and you for the underlying product or service. Any purchase, booking, refund, cancellation, warranty or customer-service matter relating to a third-party product or service is governed by the terms of the relevant merchant or provider.

Where content has been paid for, sponsored or otherwise commercially commissioned, we may identify it using an appropriate disclosure where required by applicable law or advertising standards.

 

5. TRAVEL SEARCH, FLIGHT AND BOOKING SERVICES

Lemontrend provides travel-search and affiliate functionality, including through travel.lemontrend.com and flights.lemontrend.com, using Travelpayouts and participating travel providers.

Lemontrend helps users discover and compare travel options but does not itself issue airline tickets, operate flights, provide hotel stays or act as the contractual travel provider unless expressly stated otherwise.

When you select a travel option, you may be redirected to a third-party airline, travel agency, hotel, booking platform or other provider. Any booking contract is entered into directly with that third party and is subject to that provider’s prices, availability, booking conditions, baggage rules, cancellation terms, refund rules and privacy practices.

Prices and availability shown through travel-search tools may change between search and booking. Lemontrend does not guarantee that a displayed price, route, room, fare or other travel option will remain available.

You are responsible for checking passports, visas, entry rules, insurance, health requirements, schedules and other travel requirements applicable to your trip.

 

6. NO DIRECT LEMONTREND CHECKOUT AT PRESENT

Lemontrend does not currently operate a direct online shop or checkout through WooCommerce, PayPal or Stripe for the purchase of Lemontrend products or services.

Where third-party widgets or services load payment-related infrastructure, such as Stripe resources used within a third-party widget, this does not mean that Lemontrend is acting as the payment processor.

If Lemontrend introduces direct e-commerce, paid digital products or other direct sales in the future, additional or updated terms governing those transactions will be published before or when those services become available.

 

7. THIRD-PARTY LINKS, WIDGETS AND SERVICES

The Website contains links, widgets, advertisements, embeds and services operated by third parties. These may include social networks, YouTube, Disqus, ShopMy, Rakuten Advertising, Travelpayouts, Google services and other providers.

Third-party websites and services are outside Lemontrend’s control. We are not responsible for their content, availability, security, pricing, products, services or privacy practices.

Accessing or using a third-party service is at your discretion and may be subject to that third party’s own terms and policies.

 

8. ADVERTISING

Lemontrend may display advertising, including advertising delivered through Google AdSense, Disqus or other advertising partners.

Advertisements are supplied by third parties and may change automatically. The appearance of an advertisement on Lemontrend does not constitute an endorsement or guarantee of the advertiser, product or service.

Advertising and tracking technologies are handled in accordance with our consent setup and are explained further in our Cookie Policy.

 

9. COMMENTS AND USER CONTENT

Where commenting or other contribution features are available, including through Disqus, you remain responsible for the content you submit.

You must not submit content that:

  • is unlawful, defamatory, threatening, abusive, discriminatory or harassing;
  • infringes copyright, trademark, privacy, personality or other rights of another person;
  • contains malware, malicious code, spam or deceptive material;
  • contains personal information about another person without an appropriate legal basis or permission; or
  • otherwise violates applicable law or the rules of the relevant commenting platform.

We reserve the right to moderate, refuse, hide or remove content where reasonably necessary to protect the Website, comply with law, enforce these Terms or prevent abuse. Third-party commenting providers may also apply their own moderation rules.

 

10. ACCEPTABLE USE

You may use the Website only for lawful purposes.

You must not:

  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Website, servers, accounts or data;
  • introduce malware, malicious code or other harmful technology;
  • interfere with the proper operation or security of the Website;
  • use automated scraping, crawling or extraction in a manner that violates applicable law, technical restrictions or our rights;
  • impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity;
  • use the Website to infringe intellectual-property, privacy or other legal rights; or
  • use the Website for fraudulent or unlawful activity.

We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect the Website, users, our rights or third parties, or to comply with legal obligations.

 

11. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Unless otherwise stated, the editorial text, photographs, graphics, branding, design elements and other original content published by Lemontrend are owned by Lemontrend or used with permission from the relevant rights holder and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

You may access and use the Website for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not reproduce, republish, sell, commercially exploit, systematically scrape, modify or distribute protected Lemontrend content without prior permission, except where permitted by mandatory law.

Third-party trademarks, photographs, embedded content and other materials remain the property of their respective owners.

Normal sharing of links to Lemontrend articles through social networks or other platforms is permitted, provided that the content is not presented misleadingly and ownership is not misrepresented.

 

12. AVAILABILITY, ERRORS AND WEBSITE CHANGES

We may update, modify, suspend or discontinue parts of the Website where reasonably necessary. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access.

The Website may occasionally contain typographical errors, outdated information, broken links, technical inaccuracies or temporary service interruptions. We may correct or update content without prior notice.

Nothing in these Terms requires Lemontrend to keep a particular article, feature, widget, advertiser, affiliate partner or third-party integration permanently available.

 

13. LIABILITY

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is not permitted under applicable law, including mandatory consumer-protection rules.

Subject to mandatory law, Lemontrend is not responsible for losses caused solely by third-party websites, merchants, advertisers, travel providers or services that are outside our reasonable control.

We are also not responsible for decisions made solely in reliance on editorial or informational material where the relevant information should reasonably be verified with an official or professional source before acting.

For consumers, any statutory rights and remedies available under mandatory Austrian or EU law remain unaffected.

 

14. PRIVACY AND COOKIES

Our processing of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.

Our use of cookies, consent management, analytics, advertising and similar technologies is described in our Cookie Policy.

 

15. CHILDREN

The Website is not directed to children under 16. Where a third-party service has its own minimum-age requirements, those requirements also apply.

 

16. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to the Website, our business model, applicable law or third-party services.

The current version will be published on this page with an updated revision date. Changes apply from the date the updated Terms are published unless a later effective date is stated.

 

17. GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION

These Terms are governed by Austrian law, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection provisions that apply to you under the law of your country of residence.

If you are a consumer, statutory rules concerning jurisdiction and venue remain unaffected. Nothing in these Terms requires a consumer to bring proceedings exclusively before an Austrian court where mandatory law provides otherwise.

If you are acting in the course of a business and no mandatory venue rule applies, the competent courts in Vienna, Austria shall have jurisdiction.

 

18. SEVERABILITY

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect to the extent permitted by law.
