Hydro Boost / Glow Facial

We tried a Hydro boost/glow facial treatment and this is what happened!

The best thing that you can hear is that your skin looks glowy. Although, my skin is very uncomplicated (or I thought it was) it never crosses my mind to get a facial. Maybe because I thought I had easy skin, I never thought to go to a skin expert before. Nevertheless, now that I am in my thirties, I decided to go to a specialist.

My skin routine was basically a cream from the counter (the one I thought could fit the best of course.) till I meet Jaklin. Jaklin is a beautician who I had the opportunity to meet a while ago, and since then I have learned a lot about my skin. Jaklin just upgraded my beauty routine, and gave me the most important lesson… you buy your face cream in the pharmacy and not in the supermarket.

Since Jaklin explained to me the importance of the products you should use, my beauty routine completely changed as well as the products I was using. She created a full morning and night routine. Not to mention, that I learned, that I have a sensitive skin, therefore I need special products for my skin routine.

But more than change completely my skin routine, she gave me my first facial treatment, a Hydro Boost Facial / Glow Facial

The first step before we started with the hydro boost was a deep Cleansing with a moisturizing Cleanser that was suitable for my sensitive skin type, combined with a fine micro peeling which clears gently the upper skin layer.

The next step was to disinfect the whole area of the face and to prepare for the next step.

In the following step, she applied a thin layer of a Peeling solution for 5 minutes, which gives the skin a nice glow and also exfoliates the dead skin cells.

After cleansing and exfoliating we start with the mesotherapy that hydrates the skin and keeps it tightened within days and weeks. She used a vitamin cocktail made of hyaluronic acid and vitamin C to boost hydration and skin renewal.

What is mesotherapy?

Mesotherapy is a treatment that uses injections of vitamins, enzymes, hormones, and plant extracts to rejuvenate and tighten skin.

Today, mesotherapy is employed to:

  • remove fat in areas just like the stomach, thighs, buttocks, hips, legs, arms, and face
  • reduce cellulite
  • fade wrinkles and features
  • tighten loose skin
  • recontour the body
  • lighten pigmented skin
  • treat alopecia, a condition that causes hair loss

The technique uses very fine needles to deliver a series of injections into the center layer (mesoderm) of the skin. The thought behind mesotherapy is that it corrects underlying issues like poor circulation and inflammation that cause skin damage.

There isn’t a typical formula for the substances injected in mesotherapy. Doctors use many various solutions, including:

  • prescription medicines like vasodilators and antibiotics
  • hormones like calcitonin and thyroxin
  • enzymes like collagenase and hyaluronidase
  • herbal extracts
  • vitamins and minerals

What happens during your appointment?

You’ll get a series of injections employing a special short needle. The needle could also be attached to a mechanical gun to deliver many injections during a row. It doesn’t hurt at all, and if you are afraid of needles like I am, believe you will survive!

The injections are often given at different depths — from 1 to 4 millimeters into your skin — counting on what condition you’re having treated. Your doctor may place the needle into your skin at an angle, or flick their wrist very quickly while injecting. Each injection may only place a small drop of the answer into your skin.

This procedure is followed by ultrasound that provides the actives penetrated into deeper skin layers. Finally, she applied a hydrating and calming mask which she covered with a herbal sheet mask. On top a LED Mask to relax and activate the skin recovery.

15 minutes later after the whole ingredients were sucked in from the skin she removed the mask. Followed by a calming cream massaged into deeper layers.

In the end, she used an SPF 50 sun protection.

After this anti-aging treatment, she recommends using a calming balm for up to 3-5 days and an SPF 50. Then we go on with the regular skincare regimen.

After a week, my skin looks great, and I will definitely be going to repeat this treatment!

What happens during your appointment?

Every invasive anti-aging treatment like this has provided good results. However, it is important to understand whether you are of the right age, and whether your skin can stand it. Most Recommended Doctor in Dubai would suggest you to first take an appointment, and get a full body consultation before going for the surgery.
