What do you love most about make up?

With makeup I love the fact that I don’t have to worry about making a mistake as I often stumble on a great idea for a new look and I have the freedom to experiment and play. There are so much great products and there is no rules to what you can do.

If you weren’t a makeup artist, what else would you do?

I don’t think there was ever an option of not being an artist of some sort as far as I can remember as a child I only wanted to be a painter. I know if I couldn’t do painting I would have done charity work as its the only other field of work that would fulfill me.

How would you describe your signature look and what is it about your style that sets you apart from other makeup artists?

My signature look would have to be a done makeup looks with a creative edge. My style is to work with makeup to get the most creative and striking look but a beautiful finish that is flawless and super clean at the same time that works with light and requires none or minimum retouching.

What is the most important beauty advice that you can give to women?

The most important beauty advice I can give is to layer your makeup and think about mixing up your regime to not get stuck in a rut as your skin changes everyday.

What are some common beauty mistakes that women make?

I think with all the tutorials available online nowadays a lot more women are savvy with their makeup so what I see that are common mistakes would be not enough blending to their foundation and bronzers or blushers for their contouring of cheeks. You can always tell when you look at the rest of the body if the colour is wrong.

What products do you think should be a staple in every woman’s purse?

Staple products should be a good powder with sponge to take away excess shine on t zone. A concealer and highlighter for blemishes and brightening pick me up. A face mist or water spray for fresh skin throughout the day.  A cream lip and cheek tint that can be layered on to add more colour.

What’s your favorite makeup brush?

My favourite makeup brush is a Lancôme eye shadow blending brush, which I keep for my personal use only!

What’s your favorite make up for ever product?

My favourite product is the Makeup Forever Greaspaint pallet.
