Yasmin Heinz was born in a little village in Northern Germany. As a youngster, Yasmin dreamed of becoming a fine artist and today she is the most recognized and wanted German Make-Up Artist worldwide.
During her studies in New York she met Linda Mason (the internationally-renowned make-up-artist), and her obsession for make-up began.
Working alongside Linda Mason Yasmin’s exceptional ability to combine colours with her skills in fine art were soon realised. Before long she was taken on by an established New York agency and became a make-up artist in her own right.
During her work in Paris, where Yasmin Heinz moved to after having established her name in New York, she then joined Pat Mc Grath’s prestigious international make-up team and collaborated with her on a variety of fashion shows such as Christian Dior, John Galliano, Louis Vuitton and Victor & Rolf.
Yasmin has also headed fashion show make-up teams on her own and has created looks for such as Azzedine Alaia, Claude Montana, Jean Paul Gaultier, Michael Michalsky, Sonja Rykiel, Thierry Mugler, Vivien Westwood/Red Label amongst so many others.
In 2007 Yasmin Heinz moved on to the place to be – the most inspiring and creative London – and has since then captured the attention of international photographers, designers and celebrities, who call on her being inspired by her and her skills.
She is currently working on her second english coffeetable beauty book, which will be published around the end of 2016.
In her spare free time Yasmin enjoys trend forecasting and organising her own make-up workshops worldwide.
Having the opportunity to spend a whole day with Yasmin Heinz and see her in action was an extraordinary challenge for us. She created the make-up of the contestants with products of SISLEY Paris and skin care products Dr. JK Cosméceuticals Privée.
The concept behind was to embrace the natural beauty of the contestants using a personal natural look to each one of them.
Marko Matysik/London, Contributing Global Beauty Editor for Vogue International and Condé Nast Publications, was also part of the jury during the Miss Vienna Event and he accompanied Yasmin besides her german agent Maurice from Kult Artists Agency.
This event gave Yasmin also the opportunity to promote her first beauty book “Geschminkte Wahrheit”/Edel Germany Publisher as well. This beauty book explores the secrets and tricks of the trade, and the day-to-day work of The-Yasmin-Heinz, an international emerged make-up artist.
“During my career many celebrities, actresses, models and assistants always asked me the same questions, why?… and … how?…”
Creating this book enabled me to answer the fundamental questions through my extensive archive of experience.”
Each themed chapter explores the skin canvas with colour combinations, from the natural to the avant-garde. The veiled truth of men in makeup and the beauty of mature skin are encapsulated with beautiful timeless imagery.
