Best Breakfast Smoothies for Weight Loss

Today I have for you guys three different smoothies recipes for breakfast. They are easy to prepare and are delicious. There is a lot of ways that you can drink your greens, and smoothies are a perfect way.

As for many of you, January is the month of detox and resolutions. My resolution for this year is to be healthier and eat better. Therefore I want to start my days with a nice vitamin bomb, and the best way to do it is by drinking them.

In Venezuela, we are used to drinking fresh juices every day, but here in Vienna, sometimes is difficult for me. I am always running, because I have to divide myself between the university and my work, and sometimes I don’t find the time.

This is the reason why one of my resolutions this year is to eat healthier and make the time for it. Therefore I want to add more anti-inflammatory food to my daily diet. So I decided to eat more pineapple, berries, celery and ginger. The best way to add them to my daily routine is through a Smoothie.

  • 2 pineapple slides
  • 2 celery
  • 1 piece of ginger
  • handfull spinach

Directions

  • Cut the pineapple, celery and ginger in little pieces and add enough water to the mixer

All these ingredients are anti-inflammatory superfoods. Pineapples are rich in Vitamins and contain an enzyme called Bromelain, which has anti-inflammatory effects; they are high in vitamin C, manganese, magnesium, beta-carotene and are also rich in fibre.

Celery: is another super food, high in anti-oxidant, Vitamin A, K, C, E, D and vitamin B6 and B12. Celery also reduces the blood pressure and lower arthritis pain.

Ginger: One of my favourite superfoods, this little root is rich in anti-inflammatory properties, and boots your immune system.

Spinach: are also rich in vitamins, and have a lot of magnesium, potassium, zinc, iron and calcium.
