STREET STYLE GARY TALBOT

STREET STYLE GARY TALBOT

Topmodel Gary Talbot Street Style

Today we bring you guys, the street style of Gary Talbot. Gary is a successful Irish model originally from Ballyfermot, Dublin and he is one of the leading models from Ireland. A couple of months ago we had the pleasure to make him an interview about his modeling career. Meanwhile, Gary continues achieving the success he presents us today his style, and where he finds he favorites items.

What is your must-have item?

Always a decent pair of boots. And everyone needs at least one pair of skinny black jeans.

Where do you normally buy your clothes?

I like looking online for unusual trends but I love Topman, Zara and Cos, my latest obsession is eBay.

What is a NO-Go for you?

I'm not sure I think bootcut jeans are something I'd struggle with but this season's 70s inspired fashion who knows I might even try flares. I wouldn't do clothes with entertainment logos or musicians on them I think it's a little tacky.

What’s your favorite thing in your closet right now?

That's a hard question I only ever buy clothes I love I have a few old coats I just can't part with so probably them and you can never have enough coats in Ireland.

Less or more?

More I think. I love layers of clothing but simple color schemes so I think it's ok to add layers just keep the colors right.

You are most comfortable in?

Definitely black skinny jeans you can't really go wrong with them.

What are the best accessories a man should have and why?

A watch and hats are something I fall back on from time to time because you can't have a good hair day every day and a nice easy belt to break up a look.

What is the best shop online?

I really like boohoo but it can sometimes look a little tacky so I stick with eBay and I do like Zara online and even h&m.

LAN NGUYEN-GREALIS LONDON FASHION WEEK 2015

Art and Makeup Artist Lan Nguyen-Grealis

Precious Rubies, Sapphires sourced from Vietnam are exciting as discovering renowned makeup artist Lan Nguyen-Grealis. Like these fine gemstones, her groundbreaking creative talent is equal to their sparkle. Her enthusiasm, energy, draws an eclectic crowd into the fashion world she lives in. However always grounded, she has a great love of her roots from Vietnam, and family are an integral part of her life.  Born in Ireland and now London based Lan is married to Brendan also from Ireland her rock and soulmate and has a baby girl Eva Marie.

What she has showcased this year at London Fashion week was beyond Art, but legendary Art!

The location was a great choice being the Vestibule at Free Masons Hall in Convent Garden. Like her work, every wall, floor, ceiling of this iconic building is filled with intricate detailing of shapes, color, and patterns.

At the beginning of her event, a queue that went around the building was described as one of the biggest turnouts for the opening of London Fashion Week. Guests arrived at a barrage of paparazzi photographers trying to get in at her anticipated launch.

Gin cocktails by G vine de France designed by Paul from Boutique Brands were served as magician Steve Rowe enthralled delighted guests. Also as a gold statue, painted on model BB Kaye, he stood bold as a storyteller.

The music really set the tone and ambiance as the models glided down the grass catwalk in keeping to the blossom garden by Ryan and his team at Love Flowers.

Halfway down the catwalk a tree embellished with Hydrangeas, roses, shards, chains, gold, and red apples hung on ribbons, this was complete with entwined hand-painted embroidered fabric by Sarah Cross inspired by Peacock feathers.

Partially hidden at the beginning of the catwalk was a plush table feast complete with giant birdcage, red and gold Ostrich eggs, sumptuous candelabras embellished with classic and exotic flowers. Stunning bespoke creations by Couture Chairs, gold giant flowers by Ivana Inhoel. The all-time decadence of a giant bust, hand-painted by Debbie Wingham of couture cakes, was also a highlight as guests were invited to join into the feast.

The vocals of the choir of Urban Voices Collective lifted the roof and tears began as guests were led on an emotional journey of art leading right up to the final model. The musical pinnacle, revealed the iconic cover look of Picasso, inspired using the latest products and special effects from Krylon

Wearing a dress designed by Inbar Spector one of Lans's first collaborators and worn and owned by Paloma Faith the dress itself is a piece of art.

Even the luxurious gift bags were in keeping with the event filled with products. A bespoke candle with a lip design from the book that Lan especially collaborated with Sensi Chic to create a beautifully sweet and rich smell. The limited-edition is available to buy now until Christmas. The makeup products from Kryolan, the fashion fix hair products from Toni&Guy, the beautiful designs from Face Lace made especially, the handcrafted embellished Cakes by Cake Pop Passion, the lip inspired on a canvas biscuit by Debbie Wingham and specialist skincare range from Alona Schecter and exclusive membership for Champagne for Life.

Proudly supporting her from Fashion Scout, Martyn Roberts and Gina Hewitt have known her for years watching Lan's talents blossom even further through her collaborations with many fashion designers shows that take place there.

Paloma Faith attends effervescent as always

As an inspirational leader in her field, she breaks the boundaries of imagination. On this occasion she collaborated with other creative talents,  such as dancer and model Glenn Ball who art directed the show, celebrity stylist Karl Willet who created a catwalk look so decadent, opulent, theatrical, this was couture in all it's splendor. Avant-Garde award hairdresser Chie Sato and the Toni&Guy Session team who seamlessly dressed the hair to perfection. Details of glamour nails with lots of crystals and embellishment by Pebbles Akins.

Backstage is one of the many rooms was taken over by a sea of makeup artists under the calm direction of Lan applying layers of mind-blowing variations of textures, colors, lotions, and potions sponsored by her long time collaborator  Krylon. A running element in the show was gold, in recognition of Child Cancer Awareness. Lan being a first-time mother herself.

The show was... Well I say no more, watch the video, as it all unfolds

Lan passionately quotes, "'The gold ribbon that stands for Children Cancer Awareness was an inspiration to paint and Go Gold by a group of makeup artists who recently had lost their own children to cancer and their stories broke my heart. I wanted to do what I could to help raise awareness. Children have the right to a life no matter how young they are when they come into this world"

4 FAVORITE PLACES IN VIENNA BY PARIS TA

4 FAVORITE PLACES IN VIENNA BY PARIS TA

Photographer Paris Ta

Today we want to show you guys this prodigious photographer Parisa Taheri; looking for inspiration on Instagram I found one of her pictures, and it was love at the first site. The way she catches the historical buildings and places in Austria truly touches my heart and makes me realize the little I know about this wonderful country. But Paris not just catches the moment but also finds the history behind each place and each building she photographs. It didn’t take me to long to get in contact with her, to show case her art and her history for you.

Who is Paris Ta?

My name is Parisa Taheri, known as Paris Ta by my audience, & I live in Vienna.

From a young age on -five-, I have always had a great passion for art. This was reflected in my attempt to study music in music school, playing more than 7 musical instruments, writing short stories & poems, painting, singing, dancing and recently, photographing. So as you can see, art is just a style of living for me. It's more than just doing something; it's breathing and staying alive. I can simply not live without art, and photography has recently become a critical part of it, which makes my day brighter & me happier. I am still at the beginning of the way, learning by doing. I know there is a long way in front of me and that is exactly what excites me to learn and discover more.

Photographing was always a hobby for me, but recently, I tried to take it out of passivity & opened, therefore, an Insta-photoblog. For me, photographing is about showing the details of the world's environments to the people of the globe who are too busy to pay attention to these little but important facts in their daily life. It's also about taking people to places -through pictures- where they have never been to yet or may never also find the chance to visit in their lifetime for any reason. I also took advantage of it to motivate people to read about places they visit and educate themselves about the world they are living in, so I started putting a brief history of every place next to its picture in my Insta-photoblog. I myself have learned much more about Vienna sights' history since I have started this project.

About my education, I have a bachelor of arts in music, Bachelor of Arts in management & marketing as well as an MBA.

I have more than four favorite places in Vienna, but I am introducing four of them here.

Karlskirche (St. Carl's Church):

Karlskirche is the most outstanding baroque church in Vienna and one of Vienna's greatest buildings,

I love the inside as well as outside architectural works of this building and the amazing paintings on its ceilings. The atmosphere of this church just inspires me a lot. I can hear the baroque music of Bach, Handel, Vivaldi, Teleman, and so on in my mind when I sit inside this church & there is no noise. It just takes me back in time to the era I have never really lived & I love this magical experience.

Schloss Schönbrunn (Schoenbrunn Palace):

This place is carrying a history of more than 300 years & has been the former imperial summer residence. The castle with 1,441 rooms holds various bewildering architectural & artworks such as eye-catching paintings which would astonish you.

Walking in its park, watching the great statues, flower designs, various fountains -especially the Neptune fountain- & the amazing building of the castle makes me wonder how the imperial people were living at that time. When I go there, my mind flies away from daily life thoughts to the old-time in history, to ladies in their gowns with their especial hairstyles, men in their uniforms, Empress Elisabeth -Sisi-, her young shy maids, luxurious horse carriages, wild horseback rides, secret dates with lovers behind trees, and so on. It is an amazing place & has such a powerful energy that makes everyone forget their daily life when they step into its entrance.

Stadpark (City Park):

I found this 153 years old park the most beautiful one in Vienna. It has so many different sights; Kursalon, the various monuments -such as Strauss monument in the picture-, beautiful plants, the Meierei -restaurant-, and so many other beautiful things. It is definitely one of the places everyone should visit if they live in or visit Vienna.

Stephansdom (St. Stephen's Cathedral):

It is one of the most beautiful cathedrals in Europe & has an interesting history, being built partly by one architect & partly by another one later, where you can clearly see the difference of their work on this building. I like its gothic & romanesque style, the great artworks inside it, the statues all over its facade, the amazing mosaic roof, the breath-taking city view of its tower, and almost everything about it. It is, after all, one of Vienna's & Austria's symbols next to the Schloss Schönbrunn.

MQ FASHION WEEK 2015 PRESENTS VERDANDY

Vienna Fashion Week

MQ Fashion Week Vienna 2015 continues and with the versatile show of Verdandy. Martin Pichler and Manuel Rauner presented for the first time in MQ Fashion week Vienna their Verdandy pants and T-shirts collection, and, of course, it was a success.

Verdandy presented the show with support from Gerald Pahr with his beautiful vest and the shoes of Hey Mr for the Dandy-Look with the refreshing music of Parov Stelar.

This was followed by the street style show, where their new t-shirts collection was shown. The models appeared shirtless to focus entirely on the Verdandy pants and to show the comfortable of these sweat jeans.

"Our clothing is unconventional and fit for every situation and for every type of" Manuel Rauner

"However, it stands out from the mainstream of high-quality fabrics and modern touches, thereby connecting comfort with Verdandy-typical design," Martin Pichler

Since 2014, this duo starts working on the idea to start their own fashion label and designing clothing. For those of you who still don’t know this brand, we made for a couple of weeks an interesting interview with them, to know more about this new Austrian brand, and you can find this interview at  Verdandy.

The original name Verdandy comes from Norse mythology and is the name of one of the three goddesses who spin the thread of destiny of every human being. Verdandy symbolizes thereby the present and is literally translated "the becoming "

For that good-looking feeling

The Verdandy Style is characterized by the use of new and special materials which provide an unmistakably soft and comfortable to wear option. The additional combination of contrasting colors with the minimalist look and raises at first glance often not obvious details such as stitching, lining or zip out and thus preserves the characteristic Verdandy style.
