Fashion Week Vienna

The busiest week has finally come to Vienna, MQ Fashion Week 2015 is here and that means one week of non-stop fashion shows, Haute couture, and new proposals. MQ Fashion Week started last Sunday with the Opening Show of the German designer Marina Hoermanseder hosted by Flair Magazine.

I started my week by assisting with my friend Simona to Alwa Petroni and whatever Eye, a beautiful show I have to say. Alwa Petroni is a successful Austrian designer, who has made her name over the years, she is also a milliner and her extravagant hair pieces were, of course, part of the show.

Alwa finds her inspiration from past decades, however not only for the clothes collection but also for her handicraft accessories pieces. Her proposal in black consisted of beautiful dresses where she mixes materials creating a sophisticated and elegant look.

ALWA PETRONI COLLECTION

The second designer we could appreciate was Whatever Eye, the designer behind is Stefanie Grißmann, she graduates from the university of applied arts in Vienna and in 2103 she opened her own atelier. Her clothes are distinct from her elaborate drapes and high-quality silk fabrics. She founds her inspiration everywhere, but especially in the music. Her proposal was goodness dresses in silk and other materials with elaborate drapes which remained me of Greece and Roman goodness.

The way she transform the fabric is fantastic, and I do not even want to think in the work hours she invested in created every single look.

WHATEVER EYE COLLECTION

I have to say I liked these two designers and their proposal, unfortunately, I could not stay more to see the end of day 2, but we were delighted to see these two amazing designers and add them to our favorite list of local designers. Fortunately is a lot to come still this week and we cannot wait to see the rest of the new upcoming designers and new ideas.

STREET STYLE THOMAS AMON

Street Style Thomas Amon

Today we bring you guys, the street style of Thomas Amon, he is an Austrian newcomer Model living in Vienna. The 20-year-old entered fashion scene 3 years ago and he worked with people all over Austria during his career. He is going to study Media-management because he also loves to be behind the spotlight. Thomas already knows a little bit about the media scene and so he decided to take the chance to make his passion for his work. As a next step, he is looking forward to running at the Vienna Fashion Week. We can’t wait to see him there.

We met Thomas because he was one of our models for the new campaign of our first Men shirts collection, which will be released soon. Stay tuned! However having the opportunity to work with him was truly delightful, because he knows exactly how to act in front of the camera. I also think that he is extremely photogenic. The best way to introduce him is through his style!

We had fun to work with him and of course, the pictures were taken by our exclusive photographer Marcos Aray.

How would you describe your style?

I’d definitely say that the best way to describe my personal style is: versatile. I really like it classic, elegant and chic. In private, I also wear sporty and basic clothes like v-neck shirts and sneakers. Sometimes I also like it extraordinary and controversial to attract attention and be remarkable. But for me, the most important thing is to feel comfortable in what I am wearing.

What is your must-have item?

A tried and true biker jacket and black boots.

Where you buy normally your clothes?

Rivers Island, Topman, Zara

What is a NO-Go for you?

Satin boxer shorts.

What’s your favorite thing in your closet right now?

A Burberry Blazer which I bought from the first money I earned with modeling jobs. This will always be something special for me.

Less or more?

More! I have to come out as a fan of everything extraordinary and uncommon.

You are most comfortable in?

A suit. Because almost every guy looks great in it, and you just feel awesome and well dressed on every occasion.

What are the best accessories a man should have and why?

Perfume. Even if you can’t see it, it is a very important component of your outfit and makes it complete.

What is the best shop online?

I don’t like online shopping at all. I really can say going shopping is like a holiday for me. It’s relaxing and it makes you happy.

Street Style Stefan Petrov

Today we bring you guys, the Street Style of Stefan Petrov. The Viennese with Bulgarian roots is working as a model for Cyrus Models. He is very much into architecture and therefore studying at Vienna University of Technology. Traveling is a great part of a model’s life. So far, Stefan worked in Milan and New York. His travels also took him to Barcelona, St. Tropez, Moscow, Cuba, and Algarve. We met Stefan in the gentleman night by Runway Vienna, and we were fascinated by his style and his charm, consequently, we made him a photo-shooting by the hand of course of our exclusive photograph Marcos Aray, and what a better place than in the center of Vienna to get the Viennese flair, surrounding by the old buildings, as well as a lot of tourists. I hope you guys like this particular street style as I do.

How would you describe your Street Style?

In general, I like my clothes to be comfortable, so I’d say my style is casual. Mostly Jeans combined with tees and tanktops in light colors. I enjoy suiting up for special occasions, though.

What is your must-have item?

My leather wristband.

Where do you normally buy your clothes?

Zara, H&M, Jack&Jones, wherever I see something I like.

What is a NO-Go for you?

Too-tight pants for guys. Too much Make-Up for girls.

What is your favorite thing in your closet right now?

My leather jacket because it’s timeless.

Definitely less.

Hoodies, Sneakers and Jeans.

A good haircut and a nice smile. It will upgrade any outfit.
