Royal Christmas Gala

This Year, on December 23 at Vienna Stadthalle we will have the beautiful Royal Christmas Gala concert with Sarah Brightman, although I have never been to a concert of Sarah Brightman before, I honestly cant wait to see her Concert, and get some Christmas spirit.

As part of the Royal Christmas Gala, international recording artist and the most successful soprano of all time, Sarah Brightman returns this November and December 2017 to tour all over Europe. Brightman, together with Gregorian and special guests like Narcis, Fernando Valera and Mario Frangoulis will perform in theaters and arenas across the continent.

During the Royal Christmas Gala, international artists will perform a festive show, studded with opulent lighting effects. Either solo, in duets or phantasmal collaborations, artists will sing traditional Christmas classics, along with their greatest hits, while being supported by a grand orchestra and band.

Sarah Brightman is undoubtedly one of the world’s renowned voices of our time and remains among the world’s most prominent performers. For 30 years, her voice has rung out from theatres, arenas and stadiums, captivating millions of fans around the world. With global sales of over 32 million units, she has been awarded over 180 gold/platinum awards in over 40 countries. ‘Time to Say Goodbye’, which BRIGHTMAN performed with Andrea Bocelli, became a massive International hit and is the only artist to have ever been invited to perform the theme song at two Olympic games with over 7 billion viewers.

Brightman, was the inspiration behind the world’s most successful musical of all time, “Phantom of the Opera”, where she originated the role of Christine Daaé in both the London and Broadway productions.

In addition to Brightman, Gregorian will inspire the audience at the Royal Christmas Gala. The classically trained singers are amongst the most successful German acts worldwide, with more than 10 million albums sold and numerous gold and platinum awards.

Capsule Collection Stephen Van Eeden

Stephen Van Eeden is a Fashion designer who grew up in Kathu, a small town situated in the heart of the Northern Cape, bordering the enigmatic Kalahari.

His career objective from early childhood was to become a dentist, but as the years progressed fashion as a vocation resonated with him and this elicited a creative spark of realization that fashioning a woman in luxurious fabrics and effortless styling her in a manner reminiscent of a mythical deity would leave both designer and muse with a contented smile.

Stephen studied at the Elizabeth Galloway Academy of Fashion Design in Stellenbosch. After graduating top of his class in 2007 and receiving several awards as a young design student, he was determined to leave his mark in the South African fashion industry.

Shortly after graduation, he was appointed as a designer, product developer, and PR -liaison at the Cape Town-based accessory leathercraft company, Cape Cobra, which specializes in the design and manufacture of exquisite exotic leather goods for a local and international clientele. Within this well, established luxury company a stable platform unveiled for this young designer.

Stephen kept his passion for bespoke couture alive after-hours, by creating gorgeous gowns collection for his private clients, most brides, and frequently participated as a young designer at fashion events and design competitions.

A chance meeting in 2010 with Teresa Joubert, a close friend, and fellow designer culminated in a 2-year business partnership and the founding of the Gelieft Brand - mainly specializing in bridal wear. As a formidable design duo, they were dedicated to perfection and the achievement of the highest aesthetic ideal in their elegant creations. At the beginning of 2012, Stephen relocated to the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town and joined the eminent house of couture and pret-a-porter, Rosenwerth - one of the most acclaimed names in the South African fashion industry.

Under the creative leadership of both Elzbieta and Gabi Rosenwerth, Stephen cultivated a profound understanding of the modern woman's style and a discerning eye for luxury fashion. In 2014 he took up the position of studio manager and assistant designer at Gavin Rajah- a fashion house that is synonymous with fine craftsmanship, luxurious finishes, and fine fabrication. This Cape Town-based atelier is famed for producing couture garments for their loyal clientele around the world.

The success of the brand was built on a consistent standard of workmanship and creative excellence. While working under the guidance of Gavin Rajah, Stephen had the honor of traveling internationally and immerse himself in the fundamentals of managing a successful international brand -he counts this as one of the most rewarding experiences of his career.

Today Stephen brings us his last collection in collaboration with Lindie Jacobs as a photographer. Although all the dresses are a dream for every bride; I have to say is difficult for me to pick my favorite, because each one of them is truly stunning; as winter subsides and the softness of the fresh spring air rises, we get the desire to be dressed in the freshest cloth.

For this specific editorial collection, Stephen Van Eeden looked at inspiration in areas far from every day with a definite focus on simplistic, sophisticated and contemporary styling.

Classical colonial-style fashion can definitely inspire the creation of ideal ensembles for weddings that take place during the warmer days of spring and summer!

These couture pieces boast elements that are elegant, comfortable and rich with charming details that connect the traditional with a modern aesthetic. Subtle modernism in these ensembles promotes the absence of ornate embellishments whilst still incorporating the classical design philosophy of symmetry, proportion, and repetition in each piece.

In this capsule collection, the designer dusts off and reinvents exotic style lines in combination with minimalistic hues and tissue-like textiles that rhyme with lightness. The textiles used are a blend of natural and artificial fibers that create surfaces with an elegant, modern and smooth feel adding touches of beautiful detailed floral embroideries reminiscent of traditional anglaise.

Acáo Natural Energy Drink

Acáo is a 100% natural combination of a fruity with a refreshing touch, and what I found the best is that it has the same effect of a cup of coffee. I had the opportunity to try Acáo and to include it in my daily routine, and let me tell you I love it.

For starters, I have always been a fan of guarana, which is one the key ingredients of Acáo, in fact, the first thing I did when I moved to Vienna was to look where I could buy Guarana; unfortunately, then (10 years ago) I couldn’t find it.

When I finally stumble upon Acao, all my prayers where answer. Guarana is a plant that grows in the Amazonas, and with the seed of this fruit, you can brew a drink.

Although many people drink Guarana in South America, the seed is still used as medicine. Guarana is used to enhance athletic performance, weight loss, as a stimulant, and to reduce mental and physical fatigue, so you can found guarana in many weight loss products.

Guarana contains caffeine, and the caffeine works stimulating the central nervous system, heart, and muscle. As fan number one of coffee, and let's be honest I drink a lot of coffee, to have the opportunity to get my push from a refreshing drink was even better, especially in summer.

When I am at the university, and I had the possibility to drink a cold refreshing and natural drink, is amazing. I have a pretty stressful routine, where I have to divide myself between the university, work, the gym, and home, and if I can relay in a drink to accomplish my entire to-do list, would be definitely this one.

The slightly fruity taste of quince, seaberry, and lemon is not too sweet. They are also exclusively bio-certified and of high quality. Acáo is also vegan and gluten-free, but the best is that it just has 18 kcal per 100 ml, which makes it perfect for diet.

An Acáo is so versatile, that you can even make cocktails with it, but to be honest, I prefer it with a slide of lime and a few sleeves of peppermint, a couple of ice cubes and I am ready to continue working.

Because the bottle is slim, I always carry one with me; in the case, I need some refreshment on my way to the gym, or at the university where I need all my energy and concentration.

Fashion Photographer Constanza

Constanza, is a Venezuelan fashion photographer, with an amazing future ahead of her. She started when she was 15 and today at 21 she has to to make from her passion her work, and the results are truly amazing. Although Venezuela was never being the capital of fashion like Paris, London or New York, I have to say we have very creative and talented people, so when I come across to a Venezuelan talented I know I have to make an interview, so today I bring you the talented mind behind Tata Shot.

For those who don't know you, tell us about yourself

My name is Constanza but everyone calls me tata, I started to study photography from 15 years as a hobby and when I was 18 I decided to study it fully (right now I have 21). I was told that when one knows happiness cannot coexist without rebellion with sadness, that happens to me with photography, I feel that it is so my own that 90% of me has become so much that I spend most of the day thinking about what pictures I will make and I feel extremely blessed to be able to do what I love.

How is fashion in your country?

Although Venezuela is not such a fashion capital, the awareness of fashion in my country is growing a lot especially in the last years and that despite the situation of the country, I consider that in these times of crisis, artists have created very excellent things generating a wave of good photographers, make-up artists, models, stylists, and Venezuelan costumes, of course, there are still things that are not accepted or even understood as "art" but little by little the consciousness is being opened up.

How would you define beauty?

Well that's a difficult question, in general for me beauty doesn’t necessary has to be something physical but more self-love, if you love yourself how you really are the physical part is not that important, and you can express that self-confidence that makes you, who you are. Beauty in my work is more subjective because for some eyes you will always be beautiful and for others not so much, so it will always depend on the persons you work with.

Were you educated in photography, or are you self-taught?

I Studied photography in "Roberto Mata photography workshop" school and I also studied cinema at the national school of cinema in Caracas. I am a very artistic person and even do I love photography I also like to paint. I always buy books that add more knowledge. I consider education to be very important. Knowledge is something that you can never take away.

What camera do you use most of the time?

Right now I use a Nikon D610, but it was not always that before I had a D7100 and in my start a D3100. Although the camera is an important tool, the photo makes the photographer, so as I always tell my friends and people who ask me "it's not the arrow, it's the Indian".

Which photo are you currently most proud of?

I do not have a favorite photo, I am proud of all my work and it has always been like this, my pride does not come because I consider myself the best, but because I always try to push myself. Whenever I finish some photos and I am happy with the result I enjoy that moment and then start to look for the errors to improve on the next photos I make and always try to be a better version of myself.

Comparing where you are now with where you are when you first started, what could you have done differently to get to where you are sooner?

I feel that the time has been perfect because I have learned what is necessary at the right time; I sweated in every photo and put into practice all that I have learned.

You’ve clearly worked with a wide range of models, what tips can you recommend to people looking to expand their portfolio?

To be dynamic, to be versatile and do not stay in the same thing.

Describe a typical shoot.

Make-up, hair, costumes, and photography! That is the order we follow, everything that is before or after that varies depending on the craziness we are doing.

Favorite accessory?

It varies depending on the complexity of each one, there are photos that are taken fast but are edited a lot and others that are slow to take but almost have no touch-up. I have no favorite accessory, varies depending on the subject I'm going to photograph, I like to be in constant movement, not always stay in the same.

With whom would like to work?

I would love to work with the great people of the medium, the most talented and also with those emerging talents that promise a lot, but what I take more into account is in working with dedicated people who have a human quality.

Favorite photography book?

Mario Testino, Annie Leibovitz, David LaChapelle, Victor Demarchelier, Irving Penn, and Gregory Crewdson.

ARTISTAR JEWELS EXHIBITION BY TIBERIUS

Tiberius Jewels Exhibition

Tiberius is a cosmopolitan and proud Austrian brand in the European sense, is not a secret that we are a fan of this great brand and we have been following them for years now. For those of you, who don't know the brand, they are a successful Austrian Brand, with Marcos Valenzuela as a chief designer.

Recently Tiberius had a beautiful jewelry exhibition Artistar Jewels just after the summer the summer break. The ARTISTAR JEWELS collection presents selected exhibits from all over Europe and is shown in 30 European cities. The exhibits were selected by, among others, the prestigious fashion expert Elisabetta Barracchia (Creative Director Fashion | Vanity Fair & Editor | Italian Vogue).

Tiberius is once again attracting international attention, even do it is already known across Austria's borders that the stylish store in the Lindengasse is not only home to the polemic and sensual model list "TIBERIUS", but also a melting pot for international fashion Cooperations and brand development, as well as other design forms, such as exquisite jewelry or avant-garde hat fashion.

TIBERIUS founder Karl Ammerer and chief designer Marcos Valenzuela are proud that their store has been chosen as the venue for this great event. "Fashion and design lose their banality with such international projects and gain diplomatic and economic importance," says Karl Ammerer.

The aim of ARTISAR JEWELS is to promote designers from all over Europe, to export their names and creativity to other European countries, and to open doors for sponsored artists, in other countries.

Many creative minds work together here and live the romantic philosophy and the European ideal scenario of trade and cultural interaction. "It makes us incredibly happy to have this exhibition at TIBERIUS.

Fashion brings us together and the concept fits us, "says Marcos Valenzuela. The designs shown are a mixture of sales and non-pure exhibition pieces and underline once more that Tiberius is a meeting place for cosmopolitans, visionaries and model lovers.
