PERFECT SPRING OUTFIT

PERFECT SPRING OUTFIT

Spring Outfit

Spring is finally here! and I cannot be happier, for me, this is the most waiting season of the year. After this long winter, where we had more rain than snow.., but still winter, having 17 degrees and sunshine is for me just magical.

With spring already here, is the moment to leave the coats back home, and choose cool colours to sit outside in the sun or make a nice walk in the Danube, looking for a nice coffee to sit down and enjoy a beautiful day.

For me, today is all about the basics, and how to combine them, and have a nice relax outfit perfect for a Sunday.

The Perfect Spring Outfit

  • White Jean, this is a must in any closet and if you don’t have it cropped you can roll it up to show those ankles
  • Stripe blouse, there is nothing that I love more than a blue stripe blouse. Although is a simple piece, a striped blouse is also versatile and is easy to combine, especially if you like a monochromatic style.
  • Jeans jacket, one of my favourites! Easy to combine, and let's face it a basic! I like when the blouse is a bit longer than the jacket because it makes a nice silhouette. You can also wear a nice white summer dress and on top of a jeans jacket, just perfect!
  • Spandrels, finally I can put them out of my closet!, super comfortable, super cute perfect for a nice Sunday walk around the city.
  • Perfume I cannot leave the house without perfume is one of my favourites accessories and like fresh and citric scents. My favourite for spring is Love story by Chloe.
  • Fresh colour makeup, my other must is a lipstick, and now in Spring I like to experiment with new fresh colours, some pinks, some oranges... why not?

IRINA GULYAEVA ART AGENCY

IRINA GULYAEVA ART AGENCY

Art Agency by Irina Gulyaeva

Today we have a special interview with the owner of the Art Agency Irina Gulyaeva, she was born in Moscow and studied singing with distinction at the Gnesin State University and the Conservatory in Vienna. Since 2001 she has an art agency that represents young musicians and she was also the mastermind behind All for Autism charity concert. Today we bring you a little interview about her career and how she started in the classical music world.

Tell us about your art agency

I founded art agency in Vienna in 2001 and now it represents mainly young performers and conductors in the field of classical music. Earlier, I worked with leading Russian orchestras under the leadership of Yuri Bashmet, Mikhail Pletnev, and Vladimir Fedoseyev, as well as with leading international opera houses, including the Bolshoi Theater, Mariinsky Theater, La Scala, Covent Garden, the Vienna State Opera, the Berlin State Opera, and others. In Russia, I organized tours with the orchestra for such famous performers as Montserrat Caballé, as well as opera gala concerts, such as the concert of Hibla Gerzmava in the Golden Hall of the Vienna Musikverein in 2015.

In 2010 in the concert hall of Wiener Stadthalle I organized a crossover duo of Anna Netrebko and Philip Kirkorov. In 2011 - a classical concert of pop singer Nikolai Baskov with the orchestra of the Schönbrunn Palace followed.

In 2014, I taught pop vocals at the Prayner Conservatory in Vienna. From young and talented singers, I formed the band Wo/Men, who were selected for the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 in the Top 16.

In 2015, I was an artistic consultant in the children's opera The Snow Queen, which premiered under the patronage of Anna Netrebko on June 12, 2015.

I represent the interests of a vibrant palette of international artists and also promote Russian culture to contribute to cultural exchange between countries. Now, we have some big projects like children balls in Vienna, charity concerts “All for Autism” in the Musikverein and also a regular concert series “From Mozart to Gershwin”, creating a creative platform for new musical talents.

How do you discover new talents?

Usually, I find new talents through auditions in different cities around the world. In addition, I am in constant communication with a variety of producers and other art agencies - of course, this art of communication helps to find new young and talented singers.

What does art mean to you?

Art is something that is always around us and in ourselves, what we can create and develop, and that's beautiful.

What makes Art Agency of Mag. Irina Gulyaeva different from other agencies?

I'm searching mainly for new voices, new faces, young talents, who have the opportunity to show themselves in the musical field. In addition, I'm not afraid to combine pop music and classics, as well as pop artists and opera soloists. Musikverein gave us unique permission to perform in the genre of crossover within the charity concerts “All for Autism”, which makes it possible for performers to act in genres, which are not usual for them or to mix them - I think it's great!

Is there a specific formula for finding the right talent for a specific concert?

A good memorizing voice plays a big role, but also an unlimited desire to sing and to work hard.

How many talents are represented by Art Agency of Mag. Irina Gulyaeva?

At the moment, these are about 6-8 soloists performing in different areas. Now we are focusing on the concert series with the participation of young soloists.

What’s your recommendation for young talents who want to get into agencies? What’s a good age to start and what should they expect?

Desire to work, great faith in yourself and immense love for music are the components of success. It is very important not to be afraid and to try all the time.

At the moment, the music market is younger, now there are soloists of 18-19 years who have a beautiful voice and excellent performance skills, and are able to fascinate the audience – it's phenomenal.

WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER PATRICIA ARIAS

WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER PATRICIA ARIAS

Wedding Photographer Patricia Arias

Patricia Arias is a wedding photographer from Venezuela. She is based in Montevideo-Uruguay. Patricia is a pharmacist but her real passion is photography. She has been doing pictures for 4 years now, and she mainly focuses on weddings, couples and family.

When did you know you wanted to be a photographer?

I started doing my first weddings and documentaries 4 years ago, while I was still working in the pharmaceutical industry. Later, when my son Felipe was born, I decided to quit my pharmacy job since it used to consume a lot of time. Working on my own photography business allows me, not only to organize my time better but also to spend quality time with my family

How did the idea of wedding photographer start?

It started by the time I went to Sarajevo to one of my best friend’s wedding and her photographers were amazingly great. The two photographers were more than just photographers. They were such immersed in my friend’s wedding day, that they were able to tell my friend and her new husband’s love story in an extraordinarily and precise way through their pictures. I realized then, wedding photography started changing and was no longer traditionally boring as we were used to considering it. That experience helped me to dream about the idea of becoming a wedding photographer.

What is most important at the moment you take a photograph, as a wedding photographer?

Many things, but especially the person. I strongly believe that every person or every couple has something really special that is different from everybody else. Now I focus on discovering that “thing” that makes people in front of my camera distinct from everybody else, I usually invest a great amount of time chatting with the couple about their preferences. Also, I  try to image the best place to make them comfortable so they can have a good time during the shooting. Some other times, I just let things flow alone. I just love a clean and minimalistic style, so I take care of the aesthetic and symmetry as well.

From where you get your inspiration

Just looking at a person you can get as much inspiration as you want or need. I also pay close attention to movies, music videos, and art in general, street photography and photographers whose work I really love.

How do you look for the perfect spots as a wedding photographer?

I love looking at a place and imagine the picture I would make. I just try to memorize by heart the places and their different type of light during the day, so I can say that I’m constantly thinking about the picture or the image even though I don’t have the camera on my hands. This exercise allows me to propose the couple more than one option for their shooting, so we can decide together the perfect place for their photo session.

Describe a typical shoot.

I first invite them for a cup of coffee or something to drink and chat about any trivialities, so when the tension is gone it’s time for the photos.

The first half an hour is just like a warm-up after that couples usually even notice they are in a photoshoot. I also like to use different techniques such as ask them to close their eyes and take a deep breath, that always perfectly works with everybody.

Were you educated in photography, or are yourself taught?

I didn’t take any photography course at any school, so I can say I’m mainly self-educated. Though, I like taking workshops from recognized photographers in order to learn more about wedding photography as a business. I can definitely say that the little or much photography knowledge I have is thanks to a continuing practice and error system, and the things my photography colleagues have taught me so far.

What camera do you use most of the time?

Nikon D750 y Nikon D600

Which photo are you currently most proud of?

It is from my most recent photo-shoot. It was in a boutique hotel that I visited before; so when I was there I thought, “I’ve got to do a photoshoot here”. I choose the morning light since it was the best one coming through the windows.

Comparing where you are now with where you are when you first started

I feel now much more confident in my work.

What could you have done differently to get to where you are sooner?

Believe in myself...

Favorite photography book?

I do not have any still

FASHION PHOTOGRAPHER ARTHUR KEEF

FASHION PHOTOGRAPHER ARTHUR KEEF

Fashion Photographer Arthur Keef

Arthur Nyakiamo, commonly known as Arthur Keef, is a beauty, fashion and commercial photographer based in Nairobi, Kenya. We recently discover his latest work Red in Behance and we knew we wanted him on Lemontrend, therefore we prepare a little interview about his career and how his journey as a photographer started.

When did you know you wanted to be a photographer?

I have always been artistic, I used to draw and sketch stuff, I guess I was pretty good at it at some point, but my interest in photography came when I came across LINDSAY ADLER's work, her images completely blew me away, she still stands as one of my favourite photographers to date.

What is the most important at the moment you take a picture?

Making sure everything is exactly how I want it, the makeup, the model poses, the facial expression etc. only then will I take the picture.

From where you get your inspiration

I scour the internet for hours on end looking for ideas I can use, sometimes it can be a pattern I see, other times it might be a mix of colours that capture my attention then I manipulate it to how I would like it to morph with my concept.

Describe a typical shoot.

A typical shoot would start with me having an idea, then choose the models I want to work with for the idea, next is to get a makeup artist, then a designer or stylist. Thereafter we get to work. It's always a combined effort.

Were you educated in photography, or are you self-taught?

Everybody learns from somewhere, so I feel like "self-taught" is not really a term I should use. With the current times, information on the internet is vast and I happened to get all I needed on youtube. From, what gear to use, to how to shoot, to editing and retouching. I really appreciate the content creators that try to get what they know, out there for the next person who might be seeking similar information.

What camera do you use most of the time?

I use my Canon 550D which I fell in love with! Despite the fact that it is an entry-level camera I've been able to create amazing images with it.

Which photo are you currently most proud of?

Currently, I am really obsessed with my new editorial fashion series "RED" featuring models KEN FREDRICK and BELINDA CHRISTELLE. I had not done a personal fashion project in a long time so this was the first and I went all in with this one. I am really proud of the outcome, though it won't take long before I am over it and I start thinking of the next one.

What could you done differently to get to where you are sooner?

To be honest I would not change a thing. It has been a learning curve for me and I think that my experiences are what have moulded me to who I am today.

Favorite photography book?

I am not an avid reader so I don't think I have a favourite book leave alone a favourite photography book
