Venezuelan Designer Natalia Mazzei Zubillaga

Natalia Mazzei Zubillaga is a Venezuelan designer who lives in New York; she graduated in the Instituto de Diseño Brivil in 2011 in Caracas, Venezuela, and she continues her studies in the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York.

In the past, we made her an interview, after discovering her on Instagram, and after seeing her work and the fact she not come just from Venezuela, but also that he studied at the same University that I studied, I could wait to contact her.

Holiday II

Her clothes are feminine and full of design, this time Natalia present us her latest collection Holiday II 2016/2017

The movement and light take over the Holiday II 2016/2017 collection. A vibrant color range that takes the yellow, royal blue, white and red, colors that contrasted with black to produce attractive focal pieces that have -in the great majority fringes as a common element.

The band plays for this season the creative capacity of an important Venezuelan artist Jesus Soto.

'' For me, fashion is synonymous with art and tries to reflect that feeling in every piece I design. I seek to show my perspective on an idea. As an artist does with his works, exteriorized my own vision of a particular topic in any material support or resources '' says the designer.

NMZ | Natalia Mazzei Zubillaga specifically reflects the Penetrable and Ambivalences series of Master Jesus Soto in the concept of the collection. Color visual stimulation and displacement of the fringes highlight the twenty looks that make blouses, dresses, jumpsuits, skirts and tops crop.

This time, new semitransparent basic pieces that give innovative touches and do not leave the elegance of dress are incorporated.

Campaign - Visual Game

The Venezuelan photographer Conrado Veliz, repeated for the second time the photos with the brand, capturing color and light action that gives movement to the elements of the Holiday II 2016/2017 collection.

Australian model Hirschy Grace is the image of NMZ for this season.

Avantgarde - Studio Gampe Berlin

Studio Gampe Berlin is a brand from whose focus is a new avantgarde, I had the opportunity to work with this amazing duo ( Wolfgang and Melanie) in the Runway Fashion Event for a couple of weeks; having the possibility to work together in backstage with Melanie ( the heart of the brand) give me chance to take a closer look at their pieces, and I knew wanted to have them on their blog.

Studio Gampe: Geometric – Avantgarde – Mutifunctional – Pure – Extravagant

The focus of Studio Gampe is to develop multifunctional pieces, that are easy to add to your existing wardrobe, although their pieces are Avantgarde, they are extremely comfortable, and easy to handle, and gives the extraordinary look you always wanted to have.

Those who are looking for an individual style, Studio Gampe is the right place: ‘’our clothes stand for clear forms, creative cuts, and unusual details’’. Besides the body shapes, they produce brings a new era to sexiness which is subtle and restrain especially to women, because embrace the body, although a number of their pieces are unisex.

The idea behind, developing a multifunctional collection, is to invite the clients, to buy less, invest in key pieces and have one piece to be combining in different ways.

It is dominated by the colors black and white and all pieces can be combined diverse. Wolfgang and Melanie are looking to create timeless but powerful pieces, which can be worn at every age. The best example they have is the 10-12 dress variation you can make out of just one piece.

But most important their woman, have to feel comfortable not just in their own skin but also in the piece they are wearing.

I have to say that I am not just in love with this great couple, but also with the design, the perfectionism behind each piece. For me, this is what fashion is really about, to break all the rules create new pieces and still have an elegant piece to wear.

Cap d'Agde a holiday with a twist

My Cap d'Agde amazing adventure. Those discerning travelers who have seen a lot on their travels may well find this destination on the Mediterranean quite a surprise. Nestled on a coastline of pristine sand beach, pine forests and crystal clear sea and glorious sunshine, it is the supreme location for the 'naturist'.

Accommodation ranges from camping & self-catering up through the whole budget spectrum.

However the village is like no other; with a staggering 20,000 rooms, demand is high and this is hailed as Europe's largest naturists’ resort.

For me, the real charm is the friendliness of the open-minded visitors. It exudes a fun, hedonistic attitude that has no barriers of age, shape, size or disabilities.

For those who have never done this before, it can be surreal watching a family casually doing their supermarket shopping in the "buff", but I couldn't resist having a good chuckle.

Every amenity is provided from boutique stores, spa facilities - you name it, they have it.

All Fun and in good spirit

Whatever else you do whilst staying here you should escape the village bubble once in a while to explore this whole stunning region. Spoilt with endless vineyards & villages a must-visit is the amazing Camargue Wetlands area abounding with natural beauty. Signature is the unsaddled, free-roaming white Arab style horses. If you are lucky they will be with their caramel foals which turn white within 5 years. My highlight was seeing wild flocks of flamingos, gracefully feeding.

For those who like a gentle excursion, then give canoeing a go on the Herault river; great fun for the whole family or group; I went with a company called Canoe Le Moulin. The drive alone is breath-taking, winding through forests with rock formations boldly protruding. I highly recommend taking a picnic as the embankment sites are serene - clear crystal waters and an incredible abundance of fish in this healthy river. Waterproof containers are provided so cameras should be fine to bring.
There are various location starting points according to the distance you want to cover; from 3-13km.

So for all, you intrepid travelers, Cap d'Agde village gets my thumbs up and, as photography is prohibited, I leave you with my holiday snaps of another natural element...flamingos!

New York Fashion Week Outfit

Today is the last day of New York Fashion Week, one of the most important weeks in the fashion industry, where designers show their collection to buyers and customers.

For 7 days and almost 100 designers; transform New York City in the Fashion capital, starting with the first show at 9 am, having the last show at 9 pm.

So today I wanted to bring you a comfortable outfit, ideal to expend the whole day running from show to show.

The main New York Fashion Week was made in 1943 by Eleanor Lambert, press chief of the American form industry's first limited time association, the New York Dress Institute.

The occasion, the world's initially sorted out style week, was called "Press Week", and was made to pull in consideration far from French style amid World War II when style industry insiders were not able to go to Paris to see French design shows. It was likewise intended to showcase American architects for style writers, who had disregarded U.S. design developments.

Press Week was a win, and from magazines like Vogue, which were regularly loaded with French plans, progressively highlighted American fashion.

RUNWAY VIENNA FASHION EVENT

Runway Fashion Event

Last Tuesday I had the opportunity to organize the backstage of Runway fashion event In Kattus. Kattus is one of the most famous wineries in Vienna and together with Runway Vienna, they prepare and wonderful evenings for special guests.

3 Austrian designers and 1 designer from Berlin were the protagonists of the evening, the makeup was lead by Cristina Akbaba, and the models were from Stella Models.

The evening was designed for the fashion lovers in the enchanting location of Kattus in the 19 districts of Vienna; 4 fashion shows of designers Segeolene de Witt, Studio Gampe Berlin, Maurizio Giambra, and Elisa Malec & Adeline Germain.

SÉGOLÈNE DE WITT

The Runway, start with the fashion of Segeolene de Witt. The French designer founded her own label in 2014 in Vienna. Her first collection " Fleur Parisienne " is not only a tribute to femininity but also advances the body back into the spotlight. This Collection name is Sculpture des corps.

One of the highlights of the evening was also the birthday of the owner of Runway Vienna Alexis Fernandez, who celebrate between his work team and friends.
